The most elegant granite vanity countertop I ever say was in a showroom and was Rockville White. For the project in my bathroom, I chose the Rockville White because it looked so striking with nickel plated fixtures and a brushed nickel framed mirror. I have a nice collection of perfumes that stand out on my countertop. I have had many compliments on my granite vanity countertop.

I have also had a lot of compliments on my choice of faucet. When it came to choosing a faucet for my bathroom remodel, I thought that and electronic faucet made sense at home. I liked Delta's e-Flow that operates by infrared sensor, so it shuts off if the kids forget. Now there are no more germs or soap glop on the handles, either. The e-Flow can also be set to a maximum temperature for safety.

Water, combined with aesthetically pleasing materials, is a perfect relaxer. For ways to create your own relaxing space, think out-of-the-box. Asian-inspired open-base vanities and faucets or traditional granite vanity countertops are spacious, simple solutions. These ideas will work even in the smallest bath.

There are new formats in tubs that offer the luxury of a deep soak or even the exhilaration of a hydro and air-jet massage. Showers can be powered by multiple heads and body sprays that can provide the ultimate in wake-up stimulation or end of the day relaxation. For an even richer spa experience, look for the combination steam and shower units.

The shower units can really be coordinated to match the granite vanity countertop that you select. It really has never been easier to create the perfect spa bath to suit your needs. For a true spa feeling, look for a bidet. Bidets are traditionally an upscale fixture that is now becoming more and more common in new construction and remodeling projects.

I did decide that my remodeling project needed an extra bit of personal appeal. My old bathroom had a built into the wall vanity that was unattractive but functional. I decided to go with an unfitted look and purchased a freestanding bathroom sink cabinet that would house my granite vanity countertop. I was very happy with the final look of the piece.

The craftsman that put the cabinet in was very complimentary about my choice of granite colors for the granite vanity countertop. He suggested that I consult with a decorator before I purchased any cloth accessories for my bathroom. I’m glad that I listened to him. I had thought of using fire engine red towels and rugs in the bathroom. The decorator that I consulted with recommended mint green accessories. I was skeptical, but the look is lovely and very sophisticated. I really like my granite vanity countertop.
