Give Your Countertop A Facelift With Laminate Counter Paint

Is your countertop looking a little tired? Is it looking a little dated? Why not give your tired countertop a facelift with laminate counter paint?

Gone are the days where you have to dig out the big check book and replace the entire countertop. That’ can be really expensive. Now you can give your existing counter top a face lift.

White Knight is one brand of laminate paint. You’ll find hundreds of colors to choose from ranging from the whitest of whites to the most pretty pastels and everything in between. Isn’t it time to give your counters their original satin finish back?

The transformation is almost instant. Only three easy steps and you’ll have gone from blah to brilliant.

1. Start by cleaning the surface using White Knight Tile and Laminate Cleaner.
2. Next apply the Tile and Laminate Primer. This has a very low odor and is designed to dry quickly. This primer is designed to stick to a surface that previously has not been painted.
3. Once the primer is dry it’s time to apply the laminate paint. You’ll apply two coats leaving 8 hours between applications. It dries to a lovely satin finish which is resistant to scratching and every day wear and tear.

Until recently the problem with painting laminate was its non porous surface meant that very quickly paint would flake off and look ugly. But the specialized White Knight Laminate Paint is a patented product that is formulated to ensure the paint adheres to the laminate and is long lasting.

The system is economical with one liter of laminate paint costing around $30 and the primer running around $30 as well. The cleaner costs around $10 so overall you can have brand new countertop for peanuts.

Since your countertop facelift is going to be simple and cost effective why not consider completing the rest of your room’s facelift with the money you saved. There are three factors that have the biggest impact in a kitchen or bathroom. Your counters, flooring, and lighting.

Remember to be creative. Flooring doesn’t necessarily mean you have to replace your flooring. You might consider using area rugs to give your floor a new look. And of course if your budget will tolerate it go for a brand new floor.

Your lighting should be a combination of task lighting and ambiance lighting. Track lighting can work well in a kitchen and it can really give your kitchen that finishing look. And it can provide task lighting and ambiance.

When choosing your counter color consider the overall colors in your room. Also consider the mood you want to set. Do you want your counters to be complimentary or do you want them to create contrast? Have you considered using more than one color to create your mood?

Your kitchen and bathroom deserve a facelift and your budget restrictions shouldn’t stop you. With White’s laminate counter paint you will have your room’s looking fabulous in now time! The question is are you ready to get started?
