Modern wood countertops can be purchased with an acrylic finish which makes then non porous. No you no longer have to worry about stains setting in or bacteria being absorbed. This acrylic finish gives you the best of both worlds. Wood with the perfect finish.

If you like to cut on your wood countertop you’ll want to opt for the countertop that does not have the acrylic finish. That way you can cut directly on counter and then reseal regularly using mineral oil, Tung oil, or vegetable oil.

You can purchase moss oak countertops in any size you need from stock sizing to custom sizing. Besides the size you can also choose the shape. And of course you can choose the color of your wood too so you pick the tone that will look perfect in your kitchen.

Now here’s something else that’s great. The cost! Expect to pay $50 to $60 a lineal foot which is about half of what a synthetic countertop would cost and there’s no comparing wood to synthetic materials.

If moss oak isn’t for you then how about maple, oak, mahogany, or any one of the many woods on the market. No matter what type of wood countertop you choose it’s going to look awesome in your traditional kitchen.

And maintenance is a breeze. If your counter has the new acrylic finish your maintenance is zero. If it doesn’t have the finish use mineral oil, Tung oil, or vegetable oil.

To finish off that Traditional kitchen consider add a beautiful oak table with wood chairs. Round looks wonderful and encourages great conversation. Why do you think negotiations are often held at a round table.

Replace your flooring with oak flooring and then choose two accent area rugs that have a traditional motif. You will want to place one under the table and it should be larger enough so that chairs when pulled out are sitting on the rug. The second should be placed by the sink.

Your window dressings should be light and airy. The size of your window will determine the style. A larger window might look great with a valance. Consider choosing a color that is complimentary to your room colors. Avoid whites and beiges. To drab!
