When it comes to décor your kitchen and bath deserve your undivided attention. After all your kitchen is the center of your homes universe. And your countertops are the most important element. In just the past few years at Kitchen and Bath Shows around the country recycled glass has been continuously recognized as a viable option for countertops. Sleek clean lines that are classy while at the same time you are doing your part for the environment – what a win, win situation.

Besides being extremely vogue recycled glass countertops are also very functional! They are available in all different sizes, shapes, and even glass that’s different shades.

3. Durable
Glass is a lot stronger than you might think. You could set up to 300 pounds on it and it wouldn’t break. And you could set a pot that was 700 degrees on it and it wouldn’t crack. So what more do you need. That’s pretty darn durable. That said should your glass crack for any reason do dispose of it as cracked glass is unsafe.

4. Maintenance
Glass always looks great – it’s worst enemy is fingerprints and dust so just keep a glass cleaner handy and a quick wipe and it always looks fresh. If you get some light scratches on your glass just use a soft scrub to remove them.

5. Cost
You can find recycled glass for anywhere from $50 to $100 per square foot depending on the type of glass you are looking at.

6. Appearance
Your glass can be textured, sandblasted, etched, smooth, patterned, or grooved. You have plenty of choices.

Recycle glass can be found online, at local recycle shops, in your local newspaper and a host of other places. You can then get the glass cut to the size and shape you want at a local glass cutter.

Glass is able to produce a look and feel that’s difficult to find in other materials. Glass lines are clean, refreshing, modernistic, and very appealing. With glass counters you can easily change your décor and have your glass counters fit. They will simply morph taking on the new look and continuing serving you.
